To be eligible for the rebates which are provided in the form of small-scale technology certificates that can be used to recoup a portion of the system’s purchase and installation cost, solar energy systems must meet certain criteria:
If you are planning to install a solar system exceeds this capacity limit, it will be classified as a large-scale system, such as a power station, and it must be accredited as a power station under the Large-scale Renewable Energy Target. If your business chooses to apply for accreditation as a power station and the application is successful, your business may be eligible for large-scale generation certificates.
